Best Places to Elope in Minnesota

Ever thought about eloping in Minnesota? I am here for it and I want to share some epic locations in this great state with you!

• The North Shore. You can’t beat looking out at a sunrise on Lake Superior. Whether you want to lodge in Duluth or all the way up to Grand Marais, both cities offer incredible views of the greatest of the Great Lakes. 
• Tettegouche State Park/ Palisade Head. I think everyone thinks of the Palisades when you hear “North Shore”. The Rocky Cliffs can be such a beautiful backdrop to your elopement. (*to note you cannot hold a ceremony at Palisades, but can take photos there before or after the ceremony). 
• Jay Cooke State Park-This park has some amazing views overlooking the rocky edges of the St. Louis River. It has some beautiful hikes that are connected to the Superior Hiking Trail (SHT) and it is all around a very up kept park. 

• Southeast Minnesota. Whether you want the bluffs of Whitewater State Park or a hike around the cute town of Red Wing, there are beautiful views to be had in Southeast MN (not to mention cute little historic towns).

• The BWCA (Boundary Waters and Canoe Area). For those truly looking to get away and unplug from everyone and everything, this might be it for you. It has over 1,000 interconnected lakes and is a Dark Sky Sanctuary, so stargazing is truly amazing. (*I would suggest a guided canoe tour as there are so many lakes and the photos would be incredible!)
